November 17 – Paris St. Germain have signed an official partnership with Swedish telecom Ericsson that will see the company provide the club with a suite of solutions and services that will revamp the digital experience for fans.
The deal is estimated to be worth a €1-8 million a year but the bigger value for PSG will come in the increased connectivity to a growing global fanbase.
As well as driving consumer facing digital experiences, Ericsson will also deliver digital solution monitoring sports performance, a management system across all digital platforms and technology consulting and innovation services.
Frederic Longuépée, Deputy Director General of the Paris Saint-Germain, said:”We are delighted to welcome Ericsson family in Paris Saint-Germain. Our President wants the club to become one of the biggest sports franchises in the world and the digital transformation of the club is clearly a priority.
Players and support staff will be at the centre of the digital transformation as the club enhances interaction with its squad for fans.
Ericsson is aiming to broaden its brand name globally with PSG’s international reach.
