Football Benchmark adds EFL data to its club intelligence bank

December 15 – Football Benchmark, the sports analysis and data arm of the accountancy and consultancy specialists KPMG, has expanded its database of club financial information to more than 150 clubs with the addition of the English Football League (EFL) Championship.

The new database content analyses all available financial statements from the second-tier of English football, dating back to the 2013/2014 season.

In addition the 2015/16 financial and operational data for several top teams and new teams will be added continuously as clubs publish last season’s financial statements.

Football Benchmark data examines a number of key club business performance criteria including squad value, club profitability, asset analysis, revenue and cost analysis and their own Enterprise Value algorithm.

The ability to cross compare clubs and leagues against different criteria is also a key part of the management tool.

A sample comparison of the new EFL club data available is shown below.
