Hibs unveil Eden Mill as club sets up its return to Scotland’s elite

June 16 – Newly promoted Scottish Premier League side Hibernian have unveiled Eden Mill as a new back-of-shirt sponsor in a one-year deal.

The announcement was made as the club presented the first of its new kits under its new three-year deal with Italian kit manufacturer Macron. Hibs also has a new retail agreement with sports retailer PSL.

Those new deals being this month and as well new home and away kits, the club will release a new retail website and a refurbished club store this summer.

The Eden Mill deal will see the St Andrews-based gin distiller feature on the back of the Hibernian home and away shirts, as well as advertising slots across the Famous Five Stand at Easter Road (named after an illustrious forward line in the early 1950s).

Hibernian Chief Executive Leeann Dempster said: “It is always good when we get new sponsors on board, and we are delighted to welcome Eden Mill, a fast-growing Scottish company which creates a premium product.

“All of our sponsors are national or international brands, and that reflects the status of this Club as one of the biggest in Scotland.”

Hibs’ main shirt sponsor is Marathonbet. No figures have been announced for any of the partnerships.

Hibernian are celebrating a return to the Scottish Premier League after three seasons in the Championship. To date, 11,450 season tickets have been sold for the new campaign. With Rangers and Heart of Midlothian having returned to the top flight last season, the addition Hibs sees all of Scotland’s biggest clubs playing in the same league again.

Traditionally one of the leading clubs in Scotland, Hibs have won the Scottish league championship four times (though not since 1952), the Scottish Cup three times (the latest being in 2016) and the Scottish League Cup three times. In 1887 the club win the first Football World Championship – they haven’t featured in the FIFA Club World Cup in modern times but doubtless their fans will tell you it is only a matter of time.
