November 22 – MLS commissioner Don Garber, speaking at the Soccerex convention in Miami, said that the league’s “30th team will be announced before the end of the year” and that while there will be further expansion, the MLS is in no hurry to make it happen.
November 14 – Zlatan Ibrahimovic has confirmed that he will leave LA Galaxy after two seasons in the MLS. The Swede has been linked with a return to Serie A.
November 11 – Charlotte look to be in pole position to win the 30th MLS franchise slot, following MLS commissioner Don Garber’s annual State of the League address in Seattle on Friday, before the MLS Cup final.
November 6 – The United States will host the 2020 Concacaf Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament January 28 – February 9. The competition will qualify two teams for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The official draw and host cities announcement will take place this Thursday.
November 5 – The Canadian Premier League (CPL), which completed its inaugural season last weekend with Forge FC taking the title, is considering expansion.
November 4 – The final play-off games of the MLS season have been breaking ratings record ahead of the Seattle Sounders vs Toronto FC final at Seattle’s CenturyLink Field this Sunday.

October 21 – Plans to stage a La Liga fixture in Miami have been resurrected, this time involving Villarreal’s home game against Atletico Madrid on December 6.

October 14 – The United Soccer League (USL) that recently announced David Beckham’s Miami FC and MLS old-stager new England Revolution as entering development teams in its third tier League One division, has added performance data providers PlayerMaker as a ‘preferred partner’.
October 10 – The USL, operator of professional leagues below the MLS, have won the commitments of David Beckham’s Inter Miami and MLS old stagers New England Revolution to enter teams in the second season of their third tier League One in 2020.
October 4 – LaLiga, via its foundation, is to participate in the opening of 262 schools in El Salvador.
September 26 – Major League Soccer is lifting its ban on the Iron Front symbol, an anti-Nazi symbol, for the remainder of the season and the playoffs after sustained protests from fan groups.
September 24 – The Trinidad and Tobago FA has begun a roadshow via its National Football Committee to canvas opinion and recommendations for a restructuring of the game within the country.
