April 6 – England once again has a representative on the FIFA Council, football’s top table, after FA president Debbie Hewitt was elected as the British vice-president. Hewitt is the first female vice president in FIFA’s history.
April 5 – Lise Klaveness has vowed to campaign again and champion women in the game after her bid to get a seat on the executive committee of UEFA failed. The Norwegian FA president collected just 18 votes in Wednesday’s elections.

April 5 – UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin was elected unopposed by acclamation for another four-year term today but not before launching a scathing attack on irresponsible club owners, accusing them of running their businesses in a “high-risk even reckless manner that defies all logic and principles.”

April 5 – For the first time since the start of the war in Ukraine, Russia’s neighbour and ally, Belarus, has been stripped of staging a major multi-nation football competition after UEFA announced it had removed the country as hosts of the 2025 women’s under-19 event.
April 5 – Belgian tax authorities are chasing €39 million from league leaders Racing Genk, arguing that the club’s legal status as a non-profit does not exempt it from paying corporation tax.
