November 19 – In a ground-breaking initiative that will be widely welcomed throughout the game, FIFA is to introduce radical new regulations covering maternity leave for female players – and could impose fines and transfer bans on clubs not meeting the new standards.
November 18 – FIFA has moved its delayed Club World Cup (CWC) from December to February because of the effects Covid-19 with Qatar remaining as hosts whilst the women’s U20 and U17 World Cups in Costa Rica and India respectively will now be held in 2022 having already been rescheduled once.

October 30 – After a high-profile 10-day trial that gripped world football politics amid persistent conjecture, Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was acquitted today of aggravated criminal mismanagement regarding the allocation of World Cup TV rights.
October 29 – African football chief Ahmad has suffered a potentially critical blow ahead of his bid to hang on to the presidency of his confederation after it was revealed that FIFA has found him guilty of alleged ethics violations.
