August 18 – FanLeague, a new entrant in the pools betting market, has launched this month and is rolling out a product that looks like becoming a real contender in the pools betting business, marrying the gaming element with strong social features.
August 18 – Premier League Tottenham Hotspur have unveiled China-based smart phone and technology provider LEAGOO as the club’s Official Mobile Phone Partner in a five-year deal that starts with the 2017/2018 season.
August 18 – Ladbrokes, one of the UK’s leading High Street and online bookmakers, has announced two new partnerships with Premier League clubs Burnley and Leicester City for the 2017/18 season.
August 17 – French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice has dipped into its investor pool and pulled out a shirt sleeve sponsor. Chinese hotel brand 7 Days will take the position on the shirt for the start of the Ligue 1 season this weekend.
August 17 – Online bookmaker Betway has signed a three-year deal to become the official betting partner of German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen.
August 15 – Bayern Munich have agreed a six-year sleeve sponsorship with Qatar’s Hamad International Airport (HIA). It is Bayern’s first sleeve sponsorship under the new advertising rules that have come into the Bundesliga for this season which kicks off Friday.
August 14 – Manchester City has delivered more than 10,000 sessions to over 352,000 young people, aged 6-19 years old in the past 10 months as part of its football schools programme.
August 17 – Premier League Southampton, the subject of a long running but so far uncompleted takeover by Chinese group Lander Sports, has secured a deal closer to home with the singing of local firm Utilita as its Official Energy and Utilities Partner.
August 11 – Emirates will sponsor Paris Saint-Germain until 2019, the Dubai-based airline confirmed it will honour its agreement to the end of its term, notwithstanding the Gulf crisis that has seen the United Arab Emirates sever links with Qatar.
August 11 – A new Premier League season means a new round of club betting sponsors. Leicester City, who kick off the season against Arsenal tonight, have announced Dafabet as their Official Betting Partner. Meanwhile Midlands rival West Brom have unveiled 12BET as their first sleeve sponsor.

August 10 – West Ham are the most expensive club for an adult and two children to watch top flight Premier League football, costing £150 for the three-person outing. In contrast the same outing to Bournemouth would cost £44, and £47 at Newcastle.
August 10 – Emirates has extended its FA Cup title partner deal – The Emirates FA Cup – in a deal believed to be worth £9 million a year.
August 10 – Anyone expecting the football bubble to burst for premium broadcast rights will have a long wait. A survey by broadband and TV comparison website Broadband Genie found that 78% of sports subscribers would consider leaving or switching their TV provider if they lost the rights to their favourite sports.
August 9 – German carmaker Volkswagen has clinched a significant deal to become the new mobility partner of Euro 2020 saying it would use the event to showcase its new I.D. electric model.

August 9 – Premier League Liverpool have announced Western Union as the club’s first sleeve sponsor in a five-year multi-million pound deal. No exact figure was officially announced for the sponsorship but it is being reported in local media of being worth £25 million.
