September 27 – More than 2 million spectators have crammed in the Premier League grounds after the first six rounds of the season with Swansea, Stoke, Manchester United and Arsenal all reporting more than 99% of their stadium capacities were filled last weekend.
September 19 – Premier League attendances for Round 5 slipped across the league with the overall percentage of stadia filled dropping to 93.93%, the lowest for the season so far.
September 13 – Liverpool marked the opening of their new stand and their first home fixture of the season with a crowd of 53,076, a fraction off 98% of the stadium’s new capacity.
September 12 – West Ham United’s move to London’s 60,000-capacity Olympic Stadium has not been the smooth process the club would have hoped for with the club’s fans clashing with stewards and opposition Watford fans last weekend.

September 2 – While Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG) remain tight-lipped about the possible sale of the club, the Chinese consortium that has made an offer for the club of £800 million is rumoured to be prepared to raise that amount to £1 billion, despite the club’s poor performance last season.
August 31 – Hull City, who surprised everyone with a storming start to their return to the Premier League winning their first two games, expect to be under new ownership within the next two weeks according to vice-chairman Ehab Allam.
August 29 – In the last round of fixtures before the international break, Chelsea stormed to the top of the Premier League table and the attendance chart with another ground-filling performance with just 191 empty seats in Stamford Bridge for the home win against Burnley.
August 16 – Premier League Spurs have created their third ‘Super Club’ in the Bahamas in partnership with the Albany resort and Windsor School.
August 25 – Doctors battled in vain for 35 minutes to save ex-English top-flight footballer Dalian Atkinson after he was tasered by police, the inquest into his death has heard.
August 22 – Liverpool could be the next Premier League club to come under Chinese ownership if a reported bid of £800 million is accepted by American owners Fenway Sports Group (FSG).
August 22 – The career of England goalkeeper Joe Hart is on the verge of a decisive turn after he was dropped by Manchester City’s new manager Pep Guardiola.
August 19 – The world’s most expensive footballer is set to make his second spell debut for Manchester United tonight as the Premier League introduces live televised Friday matches.
August 18 – Everton’s long-held ambitions for a new stadium away from their iconic but creaking Goodison Park are still very much on the club owner’s agenda with two sites in Liverpool being considered.
July 17 – Aston Villa supporters paid tribute to the club’s former striker Dalian Atkinson who died after being shot by a taser by police. The circumstances of his death are being investigated by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC), but once again raise questions about the duty of care for professional players once their careers end.
August 16 – The Premier league season opened with London clubs Arsenal and Chelsea packing their stadiums with barely a seat in the stadium free. But the league as a whole was on average was down on opening day last season.
