January 22 – LAFC’s Banc of California stadium in Los Angeles is changing its name following a $100 million deal with the Bank of Montreal (BMO). It is the largest stadium naming rights deal in MLS.

Having lost his appeal against extradition to the US, earlier this week he lost a first round legal battle with Concacaf over a long running dispute concerning the Dr Joao Havelange Centre of Excellence in Macoya, Trinidad.
