Jamaica voids 2019/20 season at all levels, sets ‘tentative’ September date for 2020/21 start

May 18 – The Jamaican FA (JFF) has declared its 2019-20 season null and void “for all levels of competition, nationally and in the parishes with a “tentative” start date for the 2020-21 season set for September.

May 11- One week after a federal judge threw out their claim against the US Soccer Federation for equal pay, the US Women’s National Team have filed their widely anticipated appeal.

US women’s league says clubs can open facilities for individual training

May 5 – The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) in the US has said that all clubs can use of outdoor team training pitches from tomorrow (May 6) as long as the follow the league’s medical task force ‘Return to Play Phased Protocol’.

May 4 – The US women’s national squad have vowed to continue their fight after their globally publicised claims for equal pay were dismissed by a landmark court ruling, handing a significant victory to the United States Soccer Federation.

Mexico’s Liga MX ends promotion/relegation for 5 years. Ascensio MX to be development league

April 20 – Liga MX’s 18 clubs, meeting via video conference, have suspended promotion and relegation between the top tier and second tier, Ascenso MX, for the next five years.

TTFA’s unloved Home of Football opens as Covid-19 facility, Wallace on CAS deadline

April 17 – Controversially not considered of high enough standard to house Trinidad’s footballers, the recently opened and rapidly closed Trinidad and Tobago FA’s Home of Football is now to be used as a facility in the islands’ battle against the coronavirus.

US Soccer disbands academy licensing and league structure

April 16 – U.S. Soccer has announced it is closing down the federation’s development academy structure saying the decision was due to the financial impact of the coronavirus. The shutdown will have immediate effect.

April 9 – The former president and board of the Trinidad and Tobago FA (TTFA) have followed through on their promise and yesterday filed an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against their removal and replacement by a FIFA Normalisation Committee.

April 6 – Concacaf has pushed its international and club seasons back, suspending  its Nations League Finals scheduled to be played June 6-7 in Houston and Dallas.
