August 11 – England are to bid to host the 2021 European Women’s Championship following the success of this summer’s event in the Netherlands which generated a peak audience of 4 million TV viewers in the UK as the finals were expanded to 16 teams.

August 4 – Masked hooligans attacked staff members travelling with an Israeli team following a friendly match in Poland on Wednesday in what the Israeli Embassy in Warsaw described as an “anti-Semitic incident.”

Tebas consigns Villar to history and says now Spanish federation must be cleaned out

July 24 – Javier Tebas, controversial head of the Spanish League who has fought an often acrimonious war of words with Federation President Angel Maria Villar, has welcomed the arrest of FIFA’s number two official saying Villar is now “history” after he was jailed without bail pending an investigation into corruption allegations.
