October 26 – The United TTFA members who for eight months have tried to retain power over the Trinidad and Tobago FA after being kicked out by a FIFA Normalisation Committee, have been humiliated twice in three days.
October 26 – Portuguese top-flight club Vitoria Guimaraes has been fined €55,000 and ordered to play three matches behind closed doors because of racist abuse by fans towards Porto’s Malian international Moussa Marega.
October 26 – Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling is set to become the second England international footballer to use his influence to tackle social issues by founding a charity to help children from disadvantaged families.

October 22 – A new report into the extent to which professional footballers are attacked online has thrown up damning and disturbing findings, with 43% of English Premier League players surveyed having experienced “targeted racist abuse”.
October 21 – Manchester United’s Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo says he is ashamed of the government following reports that soldiers opened fire on protesters in an area of Lagos on Tuesday.
October 20 – Spanish prosecutors have requested a jail sentence of 21 and a half years and a €105 million fine for the president of tier two Las Palmas, Miguel Ángel Ramírez.
October 20 – Germany has issued international arrest warrants for the two founders of the firm at the centre of the tax haven scandal exposed by the Panama Papers, according to German media.
October 20 – Manchester City’s Argentine striker Sergio Aguero will reportedly avoid retrospective action after being caught on camera placing his hand on the shoulder of a female assistant referee during last Saturday’s Premier League win against Arsenal.
October 19 – Santos and former Brazil star Robinho have parted ways after growing public pressure over the player’s rape conviction in Italy in 2017 and his current defense.
October 16 – The German football federation (DFB) has claimed that it has already paid 2019 taxes related to advertising income after reaching an agreement with tax authorities. Six DFB officials are currently under investigation for tax evasion.
October 16 – A group including former FA chairman David Bernstein, former England defender Gary Neville (pictured), former FA executive David Davies and Manchester mayor Andy Burnham have called for government to intervene in the game and set up an independent regulator.

October 15 – Conmebol is to receive a windfall $37 million from the Swiss bank accounts of Nicolas Leoz and Eduardo Deluca after the Swiss attorney general stated that “the forfeited funds will be returned directly”.

October 9 – A new organisation entitled Football’s Black Coalition (FBC), has been launched by black coaches in the UK to lobby governing bodies to combat racism in the game.
October 8 – German prosecutors have searched several offices of the German Football Association (DFB) in the latest investigation into corruption, this time over the conduct of six former and current DFB bosses suspected of serious tax evasion.
