July 29 – Musa Bility, the banned former Confederation of African Football (CAF) executive committee member and former president of the Liberian FA, has kept up his pressure on FIFA and its president Gianni Infantino with an open letter to UEFA president Alexander Ceferin and Conmebol president Alexander Dominguez demanding they call for the FIFA president’s resignation.

July 24 – Switzerland’s embattled Attorney General Michael Lauber has offered to resign after a Swiss court concluded he had lied to investigators regarding his office’s corruption probe into FIFA.
July 23 – Colombia’s government says the national FA should kick out any officials deemed to have been found guilty of wrongdoing following a two-year investigation by the country’s business regulator into the resale of tickets for World Cup qualifiers at inflated prices.

July 22 – US Soccer had another significant win in court this week in the lawsuit brought against the federation by Relevent Sports who have been campaigning to stage regular season league matches from non-US leagues in the country.
July 21 – Jack is back, really. FIFA’s most-wanted, Jack Warner, the disgraced former Concacaf president and FIFA vice president currently battling extradition to the US, is bidding to re-enter politics in his home country of Trinidad and Tobago as a member of parliament.
July 21 – Controversial Nepal president and AFC vice president’s Ganesh Thapa, who was banned for 10 years for bribery by FIFA, has come under fire from the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum for abusing a reporter.
July 21 – Cesar Salinas, the president of the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF), passed away on Sunday, aged 58, after contracting the coronavirus.
July 16 – Former FIFA vice president Prince Ali bin al Hussein of Jordan says the governance of world football must be stepped up in the wake of the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s (CAS) judgement to uphold the life ban on ex-Afghan FA chief Keramuddin Karim for sexual abuse.
July 16 – Fans often bemoan the fact that footballers are paid far too much money but the perception that they do not carry out their social responsibilities is misplaced according to the international players’ union FIFPro.
