TNT Sports hands FIFA Club World Cup a major broadcast boost

March 6 – The FIFA World Club Cup (FCWC), which seemingly takes two steps backwards to every step forwards, will be breathing a semi-sigh of relief after it was announced that major US broadcaster TNT Sports will show 24 matches – including group stages, knockout games and the final on July 13 – on its combined networks of TNT, TBS and truTV.

FIFA poised to drop plans for 2026 Women’s Club World Cup

March 5 – FIFA will reportedly postpone the inaugural edition of the Women’s Club World Cup to at least 2027.

Originally planned for January and February 2026, the 16-team tournament has faced delays due to unconfirmed details such as the host, format, and qualification process. The postponement is expected be confirmed at the FIFA Council meeting on Wednesday.
