September 20 – FIFA’s ethics committee has imposed life bans on three individuals who pleaded guilty in the FifaGate corruption scandal. FIFA has also slapped $1.03 million fines on each of them, though their claim of jurisdiction for the fines looks to be on shaky ground and incomplete (if not fabricated) information.
September 20 – The Republic of Ireland is joining forces with the four ‘home’ British nations to consider making a joint bid for the 2030 World Cup.
September 19 – Suwon Samsung Bluewings held their nerve to beat fellow South Korean side Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors on penalties and progress through to the last four of the AFC Champions League following an enthralling quarter-final victory on Wednesday.
September 20 – The second AFC Women’s Football Development Seminar finished today at the AFC’s Kuala Lumpur headquarters. The three days saw 74 women’s football experts from 39 AFC member associations take part in a series of discussions and presentations.

September 20 – Ticketing for the 2019 Women’s World Cup France was launched in Paris yesterday at the Montparnasse Tower. The 24-team championship, in its eighth edition, will be played from June 7 to July 7.
September 20 – New Liberian FA president Musatapha Raji has suspended Liberia Football Association Competition Director Mathew Diggs and re-assogned former Montserrado County sub Association chairman Josiah Toe pending an investigation into the alleged theft of registration fees.
