March 8 – City Football Group (CFG), owners of Manchester City and a slate of clubs around the world, is bidding to take over Brazilian champions Atletico Mineiro.
December 13 – With New York City FC’s maiden win of the MLS championship, City Football Group clubs now hold the three domestic club titles in three regionally dominant football nations – Manchester City are Premier League champions, while Melbourne City are Australia’s A-League champions.
November 2 – City Football Group (CFG) have reportedly opened negotiations to acquire a 20% stake in Russian club Spartak Moscow.

September 27 -Manchester City has partnered with esports business FaZe Clan to bring closer together the fans of the club and video gaming with a range of new experiences.
September 26 – Manchester City owners City Football Group has beefed up its club partnership with video game maker EA Sports, tuning it into a global deal across all seven of its owned clubs.
July 25 – With Manchester City now on the Japan leg of their pre-season Asian tour, owners City Football Group and Japanese carmaker Nissan have used the timing to announce they have extended their global partnership that began in 2014 when Nissan became the group’s official automotive partner.
July 18 – Manchester City has launched its own streaming service, Man City for TV, for fans globally with a free month’s trial before pricing goes to £1.99 per month.
