August 9 – With the Dutch set to open up online gambling in the country from October 1, the state-run betting and gaming business Holland Casino has signed a deal four-year sponsorship deal with the top tier Eredivisie, second tier Keuken Kampioen Division and its broadcast partner ESPN.
May 4 – Inter Milan ended Juventus’ domination of Italian football by winning the Serie A and Ajax claimed a 35th Dutch title at the weekend.
April 27 – The Eredivisie has agreed a three-year agreement with gaming developers First Touch Games with its 18 clubs appearing in the new version of mobile football game Score! Hero 2.
April 20 – Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven are looking to raise €50 million in the coming months with billionaire Robert van der Wallen, a member of the supervisory board, driving the capital raise.
January 6 – The top flight of Dutch football, the Eredivisie, has increased its ownership stake in the company that sells its commercial rights, Eredivisie Media & Marketing (EMM).
October 27 – Ajax Amsterdam set an Eredivisie record on Saturday when they annihilated 10-man VVV-Venlo 13-0. Lassina Traore scored five times to propel Ajax to the top of the standings.
April 2 – While the Dutch top flight will remain on lockdown until June 1, the Dutch FA (KNVB) has revealed a tentative plan to finish the season by August 3.
March 2 – Holland’s Eredivisie launched a new partnership at the weekend with new ‘Official Food Deliver Partner’ Deliveroo giving fans €2.50 discount on every Deliveroo order.
