November 19 – The Nou Mestalla may finally be closer to competition after it was announced that a new long-term corporate financing agreement has been finalised between Valencia CF and its investing partners to complete the stadium.
October 10 – Valencia CF, one of the grand old names of Spain’s, La Liga and a club that has seen more than its fair share of ups and downs over the last three decades, has some of the most passionate support in Spain, however a couple of supporters have taken that to a new level in a protest against the club’s Singaporean owner Peter Lim.
January 31 – Valencia have parted ways with their coach Gennaro Gattuso following a 1-0 defeat to Real Valladolid, leaving the club one point above the relegation zone.
August 18 – Valencia have confirmed Layhoon Chan (pictured) will become the new president with various boardroom changes taking place at the club.
February 4 – FIFA has launched an investigation into Valencia owner Peter Lim and company Meriton Holdings, according to reports in Spain.
June 30 – Valencia have been plunged into chaos after sacking coach Albert Celades and appointing long-standing club servant Voro until the end of the Spanish La Liga season.
